haiku is a subtle art, seemingly simple, but very difficult to touch perfection.
here is a link that will put you to the greatest master of haiku:

http://oldpoetry.com/oauthor/show/matsuo_basho

you may also read poems by Issa and Buson. Their poems are also available on the website www.oldpoetry.com

Keep writing. Once you fall into the groove, you will know the difference.

I have been following you all the while, but somewhere on the way, I got lost. Guess I am a simple man and am unable to digest haikus. From what I remember reading Basho and several other japanese Haiku poets, haiku poems always convey one single image, a perfect picture that stays in the reader's mind- and then, it become animated, it become alive and takes you with it on long journeys of introspection and insight. I cannot contain myself in a frame to voice my thoughts; it is a constraint. I am unable to let myself carried away by your haikus; it is probably my incapacity to understand...

Oh no! not at all a constraint....infac even I am learning and can't say whether I have actually followed it compeletely or not...just that I try to put my thoughts....Balanji thanks for following regulalry. :-)
