Dreams and Agreement

In the guise of fulfilling their dreams and desires,

I turned a blind eye to my own dreams,

knowing well, that my eyes will never stop dreaming.

In the guise of the agreement to which I agreed reluctantly,

I untangled the lone attached cord

knowing well, that it was all beyond the purview of

attachments and detachments.

Perhaps your real dream is to fulfill others' dreams and desires!
Attachments need not have connection cords; they remain attached even when flung apart by the winds of life!

A suggestion: Instead of 'disguise', how would 'guise' look?

'Cord' is better than 'chord'?

Disturbing. Beautiful!

Would agree with Manikchand ... few lines yet they mean a lot , unfurling the realities of life ..sometimes fulfilling their dream may not be our dream , but we force ourselves to dream that ..

sorry couldn't refrain from writing ... ur words just touched me ! :)

nice poem, Kalpana. you do everything knowingly, don't you. i was looking at the expression "all beyond the purview of attachments and detachments." beautiful.
